When visiting Northern California's Wine Country plan on spending some time under the ancient Redwood forest. Redwood trees are known to be the tallest living thing on planet earth and on average can be anywhere from 500 to 1000 years old however, some can live to be over 2000 years. There are several ways to enjoy the serenity of this forest. You can pack a lunch and explore the self-guided nature trails, which are non-strenuous. If you're into exploring uncharted territories there are more strenuous hikes to take. You can bike through it or if your on the run, simply drive your car. However, my suggestion is to park by the visitor center, which is free and simply walk through it. It's beauty at its finest.
