Sometimes you can't listen to elders warning you of certain neighborhoods. My father made Omonia sound like a crime and drug-ridden area not worth venturing into. I found some sense of urban decay, but much of the area seemed more upscale than what my father might have remembered.

We ran across this wonderful coffee shop selling fresh beans, coffee-making devices, and plenty of Nescafe glassware. Even now I seek out places like this in my own neck of the woods thanks to this experience.
