Waimea Bay is a must-see spot on the North Shore of Oahu. On the south side of the small beach, there is a well-known boulder that is a destination in itself for tourists as the jump off the top provides a thrill.

However, a short walk across the sand and you're disconnected from the thrill-seeking tourists and surrounded by the serenity of local fishermen and their families. Few words are spoken as these men stand with their fishing lines and take in the scene they have looked at their whole lives. It's a calm like none other and one that I travel to this place for every year.
