Hints of Holi
Holi, a religious spring festival primarily celebrated in South Asia, is what you would call A Color Overload. Powder is sold along the streets in an explosive array of colors, from fuchsia to neon yellow, so bright your eyes almost can't take it all in. Men and women purchase bags in preparation for what is one of the most visually stimulating festivals in the world. For some, bonfires are lit as people sing and dance, but the main event is when the colored powder is thrown on others, giving legitimacy to the nickname, "Festival of Colors."
