For those travelling Route 66, the wiggly road through the Arizona landscape will lead you right into Oatman. The former mining town is home to friendly people, many antique shops, roaming burros and this unique place, the Oatman Hotel. Oddly enough, the historic building no longer provides accommodations for guests but still serves as a gift shop, bar and restaurant. The walls and ceilings are covered in $1 dollar bills signed by visitors, including me of course. The super chummy waitress will make you want to stay there and you might even enjoy a music performance by a local. So go and enjoy a yummy burger! What else is there to eat on Route 66 anyways?
