God of Chocolate
Mexico is the birthplace of chocolate, a food reserved for the gods and those closest to the gods. Cocoa beans were so valuable they were used as money. A day laborer got 100 beans for a day's work. A "Public Woman" got 20 for her services. And in the museum at Tonina, near Ocosingo, Chiapas, you can see the God of Chocolate himself. Note the fangs!
