Go on... feed the monkey

Monkey park? Yes, a monkey park. A short train ride to the outskirts of Kyoto bring you to a part of town called Arishiyama. This area has a beautiful bamboo forest and a monkey park. At the enterance to the park they warn you not to make eye contact with the chimps or they may attack! The monkeys are loose because they are native to the area. Follow the trail of over the hills of the monkey park until you come to the top. From there you can enter a cage and purchase peanuts and apple slices to feed the monkeys. Don't worry you'll feed the monkeys through a chain link fence. It's a fun and beautiful way to experience Kyoto!
