Go for a hike! Pokhara is a nice place to shop and eat, but sooner or later you're going to have to explore those mighty hills and surrounding countryside. A good start is to hike Hyangja Kot, about 40 minutes away from Pokhara, which is rumored to be nice. (My first hand knowledge of this hike dissappeared after a wrong turn or three. Although, the section I did complete was very nice!) My recommendations are to stay on the clearly marked and mapped path and to not be afraid of asking a local for directions. If you do take a wrong turn or two, it's still a beautiful area and you're bound to run into a few local villagers hard at work!
