If you're looking for a free holiday light show set to music, head to The Shops at Columbus Circle. Each year the shops host "Holiday Under the Stars." A dozen 14-foot color-changing lights are strung up in the shopping center's lobby from November to January and choreographed to dance to holiday music.

The stars put on a good free show and are one way to get into the holiday spirit without having to venture into the cold. Take the A, B, C or D subway line uptown to 59th St./Columbus Circle.
