I love when restaurants try to localize their business, but being unemployed and low on cash makes culinary adventures difficult. For anyone traveling in Toronto until July 22, there is a promotion called ‘Summerlicious’ happening. It’s where restaurants create cheap, set menus to promote their food. So when I saw Earths’ listing, I could not refuse. Fresh Greek salad, cool gazpacho, flavorful risotto and rich desserts made it a meal to remember. I am glad my city is starting to take the impact of local business seriously, and making a move to eat more local foods is a step in the right direction.
