Kure Beach is a wonderful place to enjoy the sunset...bring a picnic dinner and find yourself a spot on the beach. Watch the fishermen haul their catch up the height of the pier. Or just stroll hand in hand looking for seashells. Dip your toes in, the water's fine! If you have time, continue a bit further down the road to view the site of Fort Fisher and tour the museum there.
