Cooking School in Tuscany, delicious!
Traveling to Italy had always been a dream of ours, and since we love culture, food and cooking more than we enjoy sightseeing, we wanted to find a place where we would be able to explore Italian cooking but have some freedom to go to other places in Tuscany as well. Through the internet, we were able to find an amazing cooking school called "Organic Tuscany" and booked a week-long stay there.
The trip consisted of cooking lessons every day with the freshest ingredients directly from local organic farms. There were 6 other people in our group outside of my wife and myself, and my parents were able to join us as participants in the experience as well, which made it extra special. Everyone got along really nicely, and the cooking was a collaborative effort, so we all had a hand in making many dishes and were able to experience different techniques. Then we usually spent a leisurely hour or two eating the food we had just made in an idyllic setting with plenty of local organic wine to go with it.
The organizers and staff were outstanding, and we were able to travel to Florence and Siena, as well as just walk around the countryside near the villa that hosts the school.
I would happily go back again and again!
