The Bodrum Peninsula in Turkey is a place for sunning yourself. Bitez is a bit quieter and smaller than the town of Bodrum, but I could tell it was still a "happening" place. I had the good fortune to be there at a quieter time, early May. The sun was warm, the breeze cool, and there were very few people. It was fabulous. The 2nd morning here I grabbed my camera to get some images of the early morning light. It was a gorgeous day and I couldn't take my eyes off all the colorful sun loungers lined up under the umbrellas, waiting for all the people to come lounge on them. The bright colors just popped as I looked through the lens. And the shadows of the umbrellas added to the image. If you go to the Bodrum Peninsula, I would recommend a stay in Bitez.
