Capsule Hotel
9 hours was one of the coolest capsule hotels I have seen. My Japanese friend recommended it to me while I was in Kyoto and it was awesome. Felt a little space-agey but I had so much room to move and didn't feel claustrophobic one bit. Saw a family of four check in right after me.

I stayed there too!! Loved the light-only "alarm clock" system. And the showers were amazing.
Very nice hotel. Has a sterile, clean futuristic look to it.
By the way, how does a family of four fit in a capsule? Do they each sleep in their own "pod"? I'm really tickled by this thought.
Rie Yamaoka, very good question! The answer is no. Everyone has there own pod, and i can assure you your kids will be safe.
Great image of a very difficult concept/hotel to photograph. Love the way it ends up looking a little like Pokemon.
