Since the Dodgers moved to Los Angeles in 1957, Brooklyn hasn't had a sports team in decades....until now. With the construction of the new Barclays Center, basketball is back home to its roots.

The new arena fits almost 18,000 fans and there is not a bad seat in the house. And if you are quick enough, there are ticket specials all the time. We went to a game last minute at $15/seat, which is a great deal. The food is fantastic: they assembled various local Bkln eateries to supply all your concession favorites. And it's easily accessible by public transportation.

The Barclays Center is also boasting an impressive concert line-up. Jay-Z is an owner of the Nets so he has performed 8 times at the Center already as well as Barbara Streisand. So take a look at the schedule and you're sure to find something you'll want to see whether it's sports or entertainment.
