We all owe a big thanks to the popular Beach Boys song that always leaves us with a vision of tropical adventures. My first trip out of the states was an hour long plane ride to New Providence Island, where the capital city of Nassau lies. Reservations were made at, you guessed it - the infamous Atlantis resort. This hotel had everything you would need to be content with discovering over the course of a week - making you forget there was still a large portion of the island left to explore. In fact, I think we only left the resort once to wander to the ultimate tourist bar destination, Señor Frogs, and jewelry shops (where I learned may be one of the best places to test your bargaining skills if you don't feel like forking over the original price). Atlantis offers everything a standard water park would include and more! Spend the day hopping around from their three private beaches to hitting the lazy river or, of you're a thrill seeker, the 60 ft. Leap Of Faith. By night, the lights of the Marina Village welcome the guests to indulge in a late evening snack or you could choose to drink and beat the odds in the nearby casino located at the Royal Towers. No matter the length of stay, just remember to get here fast and then take it slow!
