Berlin’s Hauptbahnhof (Central Station)
Train travel in Europe has always had a romantic appeal. It could be that unlike freeways, railways are built along the most beautiful and scenic countryside, and there’s nothing better than watching the breathtaking landscapes outside your window as you sit in the comfort and stress-free environment of a train cart.
I've been hooked on train travel from the first time I’d visited Europe. I bought a Eurail Pass, which allowed me to travel to/through several different countries within a limited time. I would get on the train in the morning in London heading toward Geneva, then stopped in Brussels, Paris, Bern or anywhere else I wanted, as unlike flying, rail travel gave me the flexibility to stop and be wherever I wanted.
I have been a fan ever since, and I try to take the train whenever I’m in Europe, as it reminds me that travel really is about the journey itself.

The train station in Antwerp is absolutely gorgeous … you should post a photo of it! I could spend an entire trip to Europe photographing just the train stations. Also, I know what you mean about flying. When I lived in Europe, I always flew or drove. Now, I’m back to being just a tourist who gets to indulge in the simple pleasures of life.
same - i'm more of a driver when i pop down to Paris (2 hours) or up to Brussels. cannot upload the photos at the office now for some reason so will do so this weekend. bon weekend!
