There's something about the ocean that usually makes one stop, think...just breathe. We gravitate towards it, are pulled by it, and if we're not in it, then we watch it. Such is the hypnotic lull of the vastness of this element. I quite understood this moment of stillness by this little guy when I came upon him on Huntington Beach Pier in Orange County, California.
