Baby elephant seals by the hundreds come to this beach in San Simeon, by the lighthouse on the PCH/Hwy 1 just north of Cambria, California every winter. They birth, nurse, then mate from December to February. Very sweet and magical feeling on this cold, windy beach. The seals are massive, some sleepy and some full of personality. Reminiscent of the seals on Pier 39 in San Fran. Being witness to them nursing their newborns makes this site so special and unique. A website and live webcam is also available to read more.
