Great shot telling a nice story Rachel. That was a nice way to re-interpret the composition of an iconic view that has been photographed to the point where there are few people who wouldn't visually recognize Yosemite Valley. I was just there at that mesmerizing vantage point this past December, sans the snow. It is interesting to think that although we can all view the same natural wonder, such as a Yosemite Valley, each of us has our own very personal and sacred encounter with beauty that no one else can quite know.

Thank you Chris! That is so kind of you. I did find it so interesting to see everyone lined up taking exactly the same picture, but knowing that within each lens, everyone saw it a little differently. That's the beauty of photography, I think, we all have something different to say, even with the same image. And yes, that is one of the most profound views I've ever seen.

Absolutely Rachel! It is so profound and I am ever hopeful that we can all work together to keep Yosemite and countless other natural wonders that way for generations to come. Photography can be a powerful way to reach people in that sense. For me, what I love about photography, is the potential of not merely capturing an image but telling a story. Your photo told a great story and I believe everyone is innately drawn to a great story like a moth to the proverbial flame. Keep telling those stories Rachel!
